Sports facilities and outdoor spaces
The Swedish climate, with its bitter cold and heavy precipitation, often limits the usable season and impairs the performance of many outdoor ground and sports surfaces. Thanks to the Pordrän system’s excellent thermal insulation, drainage, and shock-absorbing properties, many of these negative factors can be avoided.
The Por-Drain slab, used as ground insulation in combination with various custom-designed cover structures, creates ideal solutions for applications such as paddocks, golf greens, and soccer fields, and is also excellent for other outdoor environments, including pavers, walls, garage driveways, stairs, and more.
Resistance to heavy rainfall
The porous paving slab provides a highly effective drainage layer thanks to its high porosity. This ensures that the surface is always well-drained and that the areas can be used more effectively during rainy periods.
Insulation with Pordrän for a longer growing season
The Pordrän slab provides thermal insulation. This means that the surface is protected from frost, significantly extending the usable season of your sports field during the winter months. Ground surfaces, pavements, and walls also fare significantly better against frost damage, cracks, and vertical or lateral displacement with an insulating and draining Pordrän.
Shock Absorption with the Pordrän Disc
The court surface is shock-absorbing, and the cushioning effect is most effective where it is needed most—at depth. The result is a very comfortable and gentle surface suitable for various sports.
Pordrän against frost damage
A heat-insulating layer of Pordrän the ground significantly reduces heat loss during the cold season. This means that the frost depth decreases and frost damage is prevented or reduced. The solution is suitable for all sensitive ground surfaces, such as roads, walkways, and garage driveways.
Pordrän’s properties also reduce frost heave pressure behind retaining walls and other structures in the ground.
